How to permanently delete your OctoWhiz account and data

Important: Account deletion is permanent

After the 30-day grace period, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion directly from within the OctoWhiz app. Follow these steps:

Open the OctoWhiz app

Launch the OctoWhiz app on your device and log in to your account.

Go to your Profile

Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Find Delete Account

Scroll down to the Account section and tap "Delete Account".

Review the warning

You'll see a list of everything that will be deleted. Take a moment to review this information.

Confirm your decision

Type DELETE to confirm, then tap "Delete My Account".

30-Day Grace Period

Changed your mind? You have 30 days to cancel your deletion request. Simply go to your Profile, where you'll see a banner with the option to cancel.

When you request account deletion:

  • Your account is immediately scheduled for deletion
  • All parent/guardian emails on the account are notified
  • You have 30 days to cancel the deletion request
  • After 30 days, deletion is automatic and irreversible

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

All worksheets, PDFs, photos, and notes you've uploaded

📝

Quizzes & Flashcards

All generated quizzes, flashcard sets, and study materials

💬

Chat History

All conversations with Octo, the AI tutor

📊

Progress & Stats

XP, levels, streaks, achievements, and performance data

🎯

Learning Data

Quiz results, flashcard reviews, and topic performance

👤

Account Information

Your profile, settings, and login credentials

What We Keep

After account deletion, we retain only:

  • Anonymized analytics data: Aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you
  • Legal records: Transaction records if required by law
